How To Ace the Country Cool Look Like Beyoncé
Queen Bey has entered country territory. Beyonce has released the singles “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” off of her upcoming album ACT II. Along with them are a series of photos honouring the music genre. It’s country cool, y’all! And we’re loving all the hat moments so far.
What is country fashion?
“Country” can mean different things depending on who you’re talking to. In the context of Beyoncé and her new music, though, we’re zeroing in on American country style.
Country style has several staples. Denim, lace, fringe, a suede or leather jacket, cowboy boots and a wool hat. Bohemian-style jewellery can also be part of the ensemble. Mix and match these and you have yourself a good country outfit. (Confidence and attitude take it to the next level, of course.)

Grammys Glam
Beyoncé debuted her foray into country (we just didn’t know it yet) at the 2024 Grammys. She paid homage to her Texan roots by wearing a Western-inspired jacket and suit combo, designed by Louis Vuitton men’s creative director Pharrell. She topped the look off with a white cowboy hat.
Texas Hold ‘Em
Many were drawn to Beyoncé’s itty bitty bottoms on the cover of “Texas Hold ‘Em,” but we were all eyes on the hat. Beyoncé wore a heart-shaped thong, a cropped leather jacket, perfume-bottle-sized earrings and a nice cowboy hat. It’s like an icing on the cake; it really rounded out the look.
Cowboy Red
Country is almost always neutral-coloured, so we’re happy to see a bold look from Beyoncé. All-red, everything — from top to toe, including the tiny Balmain bag. Take it from Bey and pair a bodysuit with a textured skirt, finished off with a red leather jacket and a hat. We love it!
16 Carriages
We can’t really see much of the outfit because the photo was taken a bit close to Bey’s face, but the hat carried the look. On the cover of “16 Carriages,” Beyonce is seen wearing a Western top and a black cowboy hat.
Classic Country
We love a classic. Western top, wide-legged pants, boots and a hat to finish off the looks are all you need.
