Autumn Racing Carnival is just as glam as spring’s festivities. So it’s crucial to get your fashion game on point. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve joined the fun plenty of times, dressing up is essential! Here are some style tips to guide you towards having your best look for the races.

Dress to express
Feeling glam or feisty? Say it with your outfit. Our top tip: It’s always to wear what you love! But also, don’t be scared to go all out with your outfit. It’s one of the few occasions we’re asked to dress up to the nines, literally from head to toe.
Opt for chic dresses, jumpsuits or suits. And don’t forget to top off the look with headwear, darling! The accessory you put on your head is what makes the look so distinctly fit for racing.

Take note of themes and dress codes
It’s always important to remember that most, if not all, locations have dress codes for guests. Some could be more relaxed than most. We’re all about staying true to your style but also encourage you to follow rules when needed! Cut-outs in dresses were a no-no in the past, though this has been more accepted in recent years. It’s always good to check the location you’re visiting to know exactly what’s okay and what isn’t!
Another thing to note is the themes for different days. They’re not hard rules, but don’t you think it’s fun to dress up based on a theme? It gives you that extra push to let your creative side shine and give the theme your spin.
Preparation is a must
We support our procrastinating friends too, but there’s nothing better than coming to an event fully prepared! Avoid any last-minute problems or faux pas by making sure that you plan your race day outfit ahead of time. Select each element of your outfit with the utmost care. Details are everything!
